Ants

In Wellington we are generally dealing with White Footed House Ants, Black House Ants & Argentine Ants. They build multiple nests, which join up to create a colony that can reach super colony status. They have multiple queens. If disturbed they move very quickly and can move an entire nest including grubs to a new location in a very short space of time. Ant nests will be in the walls, in roof cavities and underneath if there is one.

We also find them in some more unusual places. The queens do not leave the nest but stay there breeding and are fed by the worker ants. It is important to know that there is no product available anywhere that will deter ants from coming into your garden and even walking on your house. Ants are constantly on the move although they are more active some days than others. New colonies are constantly trying to move into people’s properties.

What our thorough ant treatments do is kill ants that are currently nesting in your house, knock down numbers in your general environment and then prevent re-infestation for as long as our products are active. Ants do not know the treatment is there and may still trail onto your house when they are active or due to an attractant but, they will die when they walk on a treated surface. Occasionally some find a way in without walking on a treated surface.

We offer guarantees so that if this happens you just give us a call and we come back and treat the areas where they are getting in. The guarantee is for the house only and not the gardens for the reasons explained above.
