Borer

The type of treatment that we do is a water-based spray inside and out, treating all affected and non-affected areas and affected furniture. The loft and under the house are also treated but with a powder product. This treatment must be done once a year for three years to ensure that any emerging insects that may have been dormant will come into contact with the treated surfaces. Borer flies from October to March each year. Because we cannot control whether or not a customer gets the subsequent second and third treatments done over the 3 years, we cannot guarantee the treatment. Having said that spraying of all surfaces will definitely kill any flying borer this season and the powdering of roof spaces and underneath will kill any dormant borer when they emerge as the powder is effective for at least a year.
